Want to claim your Ycash?

The fork will be happening at block height 570,000 and everyone holding Zcash ($ZEC) at the time of the fork will receive the same amount of Ycash ($YEC). It’s crucial to either have access to the private keys, or have your balance on a supporting exchange (https://safe.trade) at the time of the fork to obtain funds.

1. First, you need to download the SafePay wallet to your device. Or go to our web version.

Proceed with the utmost caution. Handling your private keys is risky. Anytime you manage your private keys, you risk losing your funds. For example, if you download your private keys to a compromised computer, both your YEC and ZEC will likely be stolen.
*To provide alternatives to private key transfer, SafePay and SafeTrade automate the Ycash address conversion (as per below for SafePay):

2. Create a Zcash wallet if you don’t have one already or import a BIP39 phrase from another wallet. (This wallet needs to hold your Zcash funds so remember to back it up!)

3. Open up your created or imported Zcash wallet in the SafePay app and long press on the Ycash logo, this will open up the wallet creator.

4. Create your Ycash wallet. (Remember to back this one up as well!)

5. Now you wait for the fork to happen.
